Footing & Foundation Inspections

A footings inspection is generally performed on sites for the purpose of:

• The installation of strip/pad footings to confirm allowing bearing capacities.
• Problematic sites for settlement in building structures or cracking in walls.
• The upgrading of existing structures.

Footings inspections are regularly conducted via visual inspections and/or a combination of field and laboratory test schedules, dependant on the nature of the project or ground conditions. The reporting process systematically details data such as allowable bearing pressure, depth, material type and condition of the founding soils.
