Excavation Stability Assessments
Site stability is a universal issue in construction which should not be taken lightly, the safety of those on and around a site depend on it. Due to the dynamic nature of construction materials and their application, it is in the best interests of all that the expertise of a geotechnical consultant is sought. Factors which can influence the stability of a site and/or excavation include:
• The depth of the excavation.
• The nature of the ground or soil.
• Angle of batters or vertical faces.
• Water seepage.
• Nearby structures.
• Tracking plant nearby.
• The physical/compaction/moisture properties of the material.
